Mines View Park

Mines View Park, so called for its view of the Benguet's gold and copper mine is one of the famous tourist spots in Baguio.

What to do in Mines View Park?

1.) Take a picture with this ginormous St. Bernard dog for only 50php per 5shots.

2.) Rent a costume and play dress up as a native Igorot for 10php per person.

3.) Take a picture riding a horse for 10php. Sadly, I hadn't bothered on taking a picture with the horses because I thought that we will have a chance later to experience horseback riding. As it turned out,the cost for horseback riding was higher than what we expected so no horseback riding for me. :(

4.) Shop for delicacies and souvenir items at stalls located at the entrance. They offer Strawberry Jam, Ube Jam, Peanut Brittles, brooms, knitted cardigans, souvenir shirts and more.

5.) Lastly, enjoy the panoramic view of the Benguet Mines.

How to get there:
You can ride a taxi in going there with a flag down rate of 35php and 2php/succeeding meter. We paid 89php from Camp Allen (where we stayed) to Mines View Park.
Or if you want to save money and commute, there are also jeepneys going there. Just go to Mabini Street near corner Session Road across McDonald's and you'll see jeepneys with "Baguio Plaza-Mines View VV" signs.
I hope you enjoyed Mines View Park as much as I did. :)

Road Trip

Last week, my boyfriend and I decided to hit the road to celebrate my birthday.
We went up north to the summer capital of the Philippines, Baguio. Albeit it is not summer anymore, there were still plenty of tourists going about the city and enjoying the cool weather.

We took the Victory Liner bus in going to Baguio which costs 450php/person. The trip was about 6hrs long with two bus stops. I like the Victory Liner bus because it has enough leg room in between seats and the seats are very comfortable (you won't have a hard time sleeping :)). It is fully air-conditioned and has free wifi access. What better way to travel, right?

Here is a video of our trip. :)
Where have you been lately? I would love to know.

Awww. I thought that I would be Forever21. But nevertheless, I am grateful for the year that has passed and looking forward to what this year may bring. Thank you for being a part of my past year and I am looking forward to seeing you this year.
To everyone who texted me, called me, and written on my Facebook wall to greet me a "Happy Birthday" today, you all made this special day extra special.
