Mines View Park

Mines View Park, so called for its view of the Benguet's gold and copper mine is one of the famous tourist spots in Baguio. 

What to do in Mines View Park?

1.) Take a picture with this ginormous St. Bernard dog for only 50php per 5shots.

2.) Rent a costume and play dress up as a native Igorot for 10php per person. 

3.) Take a picture riding a horse for 10php. Sadly, I hadn't bothered on taking a picture with the horses because I thought that we will have a chance later to experience horseback riding. As it turned out,the cost for horseback riding was higher than what we expected so no horseback riding for me. :(

4.) Shop for delicacies and souvenir items at stalls located at the entrance. They offer Strawberry Jam, Ube Jam, Peanut Brittles, brooms, knitted cardigans, souvenir shirts and more.

5.) Lastly, enjoy the panoramic view of the Benguet Mines.

How to get there: You can ride a taxi in going there with a flag down rate of 35php and 2php/succeeding meter. We paid 89php from Camp Allen (where we stayed) to Mines View Park. Or if you want to save money and commute, there are also jeepneys going there. Just go to Mabini Street near corner Session Road across McDonald's and you'll see jeepneys with "Baguio Plaza-Mines View VV" signs. I hope you enjoyed Mines View Park as much as I did. :)
